LaborSmart: Nonprofit Marketing

In a class last semester, our final project was to create a non-profit. We crafted marketing materials for these companies to advertise not only to potential beneficiaries of the non-profit's work but to potential investors as well. I have included here a sampling of graphics I created for my non-profit, LaborSmart, a company working with children in garment factories in Bangladesh.
The above image is a marketing image designed for social media. I wanted the audience (in this case, Western customers looking to donate money to a non-profit) to feel an emotional connection to the beneficiaries of this non-profit. Photo used through Creative Commons, link included in presentation at the end.
This next image focuses on making a case for what sets this company apart from other, similar nonprofits. In designing this graphic, I wanted it to be both simple and useful to a consumer who is quickly scrolling through social media. I wanted to take advantage of the quick attention span of the user by highlighting three--and only three--categories that the customer would care about, while additional information is simply implied (i.e. the garment factory space represented by the photo of a weaving machine in the background, in subdued colors to be visually interesting without drawing excessive attention). Photo used through Creative Commons, link in presentation at the end.
The following is the business plan for the non-profit, created using InDesign. I worked with two other group members in this project, but the visual elements of the project are my own. For this project, we also created a short market research study which I designed to better understand consumers' tastes.
